EV charger maintenance and support

Keep your chargers available with scheduled servicing, remote monitoring and a team that answers when something goes wrong.

Keeping chargers available

A charger that is out of order is worse than no charger at all, especially for a fleet that needs vehicles on the road or residents who rely on the bay in the basement. Our maintenance service is built around uptime: regular inspections, remote monitoring where the charger is networked, and quick repairs when something fails.

For home users, support mostly means help when the app won’t connect or the car won’t start charging. For fleets, workplaces and public sites, a service plan with agreed response times protects your investment. This is especially true for DC fast chargers, which have fans, filters and high-power parts that need attention.

Warranty and repairs

If a charger we supplied develops a fault under warranty, we diagnose it, manage the claim with the manufacturer and replace or repair the unit. Outside warranty, we quote the repair before starting. Complexes and businesses can add a [service plan placeholder] for scheduled checks.

Our process

How it works

One team from first enquiry to a working, certified charger. You always know what happens next.

  1. 1

    Enquiry

Tell us about your property, your vehicles and what you want to achieve. Photos of your DB board help.

  2. 2

    Site assessment

We check your supply, available load, cable route and mounting position, on site or from photos.

  3. 3

    Quote

A written, itemised quote: charger, installation, any upgrades and the CoC. No surprises later.

  4. 4

    Installation

Registered electricians install a dedicated, protected circuit and mount the charger neatly.

  5. 5

    Commissioning & handover

We configure the charger, test it with you, hand over the CoC and show you how to use it.

Preventive maintenance

Chargers in shared parking get heavy use. Cables are dropped, driven over and left on the ground. Regular inspections catch worn connectors, damaged cables and loose terminations before they cause a fault or a safety risk.

Remote monitoring and support

Networked chargers report their status to the management platform. We can see faults as they happen, restart a charger remotely and often fix problems without a site visit. When a visit is needed, we arrive knowing what to look for.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Speak with StrataCharge by phone, WhatsApp or email.

How often should an EV charger be serviced?

Home wallboxes generally need little more than an occasional check. Shared AC chargers benefit from a service [every 6–12 months], and DC fast chargers need more frequent preventive maintenance according to the manufacturer's schedule.

What does a service plan cost?

Service plans are priced per charger and depend on the charger type and site. [Pricing on request].

Can you repair a charger you didn't install?

Often, yes. We first check the installation and the hardware, and quote the repair. Some brands require an authorised service agent, which we confirm upfront.

What response times do you offer?

Standard response is [X working days]. Service plans for commercial and fleet sites can include faster response times of [X hours].

My charger has stopped working. What should I do first?

Check that the breaker at the DB board is on and the charger has power, then restart it if the manual allows. If it still won't charge, contact us with the model and any error code shown.
